About
Hi there! I’m Sarah, the garden enthusiast behind the blog. You’ll notice I say garden “enthusiast”–not “expert.” Let’s be real clear here: while I could spend all day touring gardens, looking at beautiful garden pictures, or working in my own garden, I am far from a master gardener. Luckily, as you might have guessed from the blog title, I have the assistance of some four-legged helpers in my garden: two dogs (Blaze and Beau) and two cats (Tigger and Micah). We live on just over 7 wooded acres in Kansas (hello, hostas and ferns!)
Here’s a picture of my garden:
Just kidding. That’s a picture from the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. My garden is more like this…
It’s…uh… a work in progress. I really started digging in to the garden-building project in 2017 and I’m working, little-by-little, to transform the overgrown woodland full of poison ivy into an outdoor paradise that would be considered garden-tour worthy. In the meantime, follow along as I post what I’m learning, pictures of beautiful gardens that inspire, and a list of the plants I kill along the way.
You can meet my furry helpers here, and follow my garden’s progress here.
